The New Mexico Interfaith Dialogue will be having our 1st in person dialogue on Thursday July 18th, 7:00 to 8:30 pm at RAINDROP FOUNDATION, INC, located at 7901 Mountain Rd. NE Suite: A&B, Albuquerque, NM 87110. Our speaker will be Abdullah Cakanlar and he will be speaking about an “Introduction to the Raindrop Foundation”.

Abdullah Cakanlar

Abdullah Cakanlar, originally from Bursa, Turkey, completed his elementary, middle, and high school education in his hometown. He then moved to Ankara for college, where he majored in chemistry. After graduation, he embarked on a new journey by moving to the USA, where he became a science teacher.

Driven by his passion for education, Abdullah pursued a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction in Science Teaching. His dedication extends beyond the classroom, as he is currently seeking an alternative license to become an administrator—a role that allows him to shape educational policies and foster positive change.

Abdullah firmly believes that educating future generations is the most crucial task we face. He advocates for dialogue as the key to resolving humanitarian crises, emphasizing understanding, empathy, and cooperation.

Outside of his professional life, Abdullah enjoys reading, exploring watercolors, and challenging himself by learning to play the saxophone. Additionally, he has been actively volunteering for Raindrop Foundation/Dialogue Institute of Southwest-Albuquerque since 2015, contributing to community well-being and fostering connections.

Abdullah’s commitment to education and his belief in dialogue as a solution demonstrate his dedication to making a difference.
