Friends Share Their Sacred Texts
A program at Congregation Albert (located at 3800 Louisiana Boulevard), sponsored by the Library Committee on Sunday, Sept. 15, 3:00-5:00. Rabbi Citrin and Mikaela Bruzesse, a teacher at Pius X High School, are presenting passages from Hebrew and Christian scripture, with audience participation.
Rabbi Citrin, together with Roman Catholic teacher, Mikaela Bruzesse,
will each share favorite and inspiring texts from both Hebrew
Scriptures and Christian Scriptures. They will discuss the history of
those texts, their importance for their traditions, their influence on
modern Jews and Catholics. The true meaning of dialogue is when each
interlocutor listens, reflects and responds out of his/her uniqueness
and humanity. That will be the experience for both presenters and for
the audience which we encourage to participate.
It is free, open to the public, and refreshments will be served. This should be a fascinating and thought-provoking program!
