The New Mexico Interfaith Dialogue will be having an in-person dialogue on Thursday July 17th, 7:00 to 8:30 pm, Congregation Albert, located at 3800 Louisiana Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. Our speaker will be Gail Rubin. We look forward to an engaging dialogue about “Comparing Funeral Traditions: Jewish, Muslim and Christian”.
Comparing Funeral Traditions: Jewish, Muslim and Christian
Jewish traditions regarding death and dying, funerals, mourning, and treatment of the body are very different from Christian observances, but remarkably similar to Muslim traditions. At this NM Interfaith Dialogue meeting, learn about the differences and similarities between the faiths in a film-clip illustrated presentation by Gail Rubin, Certified Thanatologist and The Doyenne of Death.
